T minus 3 days

Here we go. The year is coming to a close and I am scrambling to get another blog post in. Not sure why. But I am. So here it is. The weather outside is cold. Its to be expected I guess this time of year. The good news is that on my birthday, its supposed to be about 40 degrees. Whats up with that? We will see how it really is when the day comes. It may be just miserable. Been playing some WoW and got my warrior, Marquez, to level 82 now. Just a couple more levels till 85. Still having fun. Especially with my new PC. Thats about it for now. 2010 Almost History

Just about a week of this year remains. So here is another quick blog about it. Nothing too exciting happened this year. Hope 2012 is better. Thats about all I have to say about that. I should be able to post another blog this year so I will hold off on the happy new year stuff. But for now, Merry Christmas.

Winter Veil

Here we are again. Is it really Christmas time again? Seems to have arrived awful quick. Got the new expansion and created a worgan. Its pretty fun. Up to level 21 now.

New PC

Finally. I got my new PC. It has been a a long time coming. I cant even remember how long I have had my old one. Its been very long. Now I am finally up to date. I got it from Cyberpower PC and its awesome. I did a lot of research before finally deciding to go with Cyberpower. They looked like the best deal to me. And I got a killer deal. Check out my config.

Chicago

I can now add Chicago to the list of places I have been to. We just got back yesterday. It was fun. But would have been a lot better if it wasn't cold and snowy out. I guess we picked the wrong time to go. Rain on Saturday and then Snow on Sunday. We headed out of town on Sunday afternoon and the wind was so bad, we couldn't barely see with all the blowing snow. We actually had to stop on the interstate for a while. It wasn't fun. But I am glad we are back now. We will go back one day. Just not in the Winter.

Catching up

The year is coming to a close and I am trying to get a few more blogs in before 2010 is over with. Been kinda slackin' this year.

In other news, I have a new PC on its way to me now. Finally, an upgrade. My old Dell PC is on its last leg. I have had it forever. I cant wait to get my new PC. Its leaps and bounds better than what I have right now. And it should run WoW like a dream.

Having fun with scammers

Recently, I placed an ad on Craigslist selling my drum set. Little did I know the mass amount of scammers from Nigeria that are out there trying to steal our hard earned money. I got fed up with the number of scammer emails I was receiving and decided to have a little fun and waste the scammers time in the process. Here is the email string.

Scammer: Hello, Thanks for getting back to my inquiry..Just to let you know am fully satisfy with the price and condition of the item,am ready for its purchase..I will be paying you via Check. I want you to understand that i'll be responsible for the pick-up to avoid delay and to enable my mover pick up person to schedule an appropriate time for the pick-up to be done at your location after it has been clear your bank,also i have other goods to be moved together with yours..I would have love to come for the viewing but, due to work schedule that might not be possible for me to come.If you have more pics you might attach it to have a better assessment..Pls,respond back with the following details(Full Name and Address including your Cell and Land phone number).So as to mail the payment out to your location..Looking

Cataclysm

Here it comes. Another World of Warcraft expansion is on the horizon. Launching in just a couple of days. December 7th will be the day. I am going to wait myself though. I dont see the servers being playable for least a couple days after. Thats how the expansions usually go. Everyone gets so excited, that they forget what a madhouse it is when it launches. Then they freak out and get all pissed that they cant log in. Uh hello? Did you learn nothing from the past expansions? Some people will never learn. I will play the new expansion. Just not on launch day when everyone and their mother is trying to log in. I can wait.

Tree Up. Once again.

Here she is. The old tree. Still works. I think this may be the 4th or 5th year we have had it. Some of the lights are not working. But it still looks decent. Just thought I would post a quick blog about it since I did so the last 2 years. So enjoy. I will be taking her down in January.

Here we go again

Here it is. Got our first snow of the season yesterday. Only got a couple of inches, but its still something. Kind of depressing knowing that the snow will stick around for at least another 3 months. Let the countdown begin. 90 days and counting till the weather starts warming up again and the snow starts to melt away. I cant wait. It seems like the summer went too fast. Oh well, no use complaining about it. The sad fact is that winter is here and its gonna be a long cold one.

Thanksgiving

Its another Thanksgiving. Its very cold out right now so I think I will be staying in for the most of the day. But anyway, we gots lots of Thanksgiving food to make today which means there will lots of dishes for me to clean as well. Oh well, I am used to it and, to be honest, pretty dang good at it. Hope everyone has a great holiday.

LOTRO

Here is another game that I have been playing as a replacement to WoW. Its pretty fun. Still learning the system. Also free to play to an extent. I like that. I just need to get a new PC to make my games run better. The one I have is very old and on its last leg. I have been trying to sell my drum-set for the last couple of months now. Not having much luck. There was a guy that was supposed to come over yesterday to check it out. But he flaked out on me. So, back to square one.

Kinda Slackin'

DDO

Sad to say. My world of warcraft subscription has expired yet again. Need a break from it I guess. Hopefully I will get a new pc soon that will run it better. For now though, I have been playing dungeons and dragons online. I have to say, I am getting kind of addicted to it. I don't know what it is but its pretty dang fun. And it doesn't come with a monthly subscription fee which makes it that much better. I am still a pretty hard core noob at it. Especially since I never played the table top version. But I'm learning.

Hawkeyes

I'm a pretty noob fan. Kinda weird to have a football team that's actually good. We are getting ready to head to Joes to watch the game. Hope they win. Not too happy about the 2 losses they have this year. As long as we win the rest of the games this season, I think we will be alright.

A blog just because

Here I am. Just getting to work. Drinking some coffee. Trying to get motivated. I thought I would post a quick blog since I'm bored and haven't done so in a while. Not much going on. Just work and chillin' out. That's about it. You know I gotta say something about the weather since I always do. Its been pretty pleasant. Perfect weather. Not too hot. Not too cold. Its the fall and its to be expected. That's about it. Been playing a little Warcraft. The next expansion is dropping on December 7th. It should be pretty cool. Not sure if my crappy pc will run it. I am currently trying to figure out how to get a new one. Its tough. Especially in this economy. That's about all I can come up with on this episode. Until next time. Laterz.

Still Rollin'

Its October already? Woa. Where has the year gone? Its getting cooler now. We may get down to freezing tonight. Craziness. Anyways. I just thought I would get a blog post in for October before I forget. I know its still early in the month but you never know. I have been lacking good blog post ideas lately. Not much too exciting going on. Just the same ole same ole. Hopefully something exciting will happen soon and I can post a good ole blog about it.

Fall almost here

Here we go. Fall is just around the corner and the temperatures have dipped to a more comfortable level. Hard to believe that summer is pretty much over. Kinda strange for me to say, but I think I am ready for winter. It hit me pretty hard last year. I wasn't expecting such a cold one. But this time, I know what is coming and I will be prepared. At least I hope I will be.

Other than the lame weather info, not much else really exciting to report. Been just chillin' out taking it day by day. Survivor is back on again and I couldn't be happier. I love that show. The season premier was last wednesday were we saw the first person voted off. You know, one of those people you forget about that really didn't make a big presence in the game. 2 more days till the next episode. In fact, a bunch of shows will be back very shortly and I need to find the time to watch them all. Thank goodness for dvr.

Grape Jam

Check it out. We made grape jam out of the grapes we have growing in our backyard. Pretty cool if you ask me. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure its pretty good. We are going to give most of these as gifts for christmas. There is actually a lot more we can can but I am not sure if we are going to get around to it. Just sayin'.

Labor Day

Here we are at Labor Day again. Actually its tomorrow. But I got the day off. So instead of today being lazy ole Sunday, its more like a Saturday. Woo Hoo. Just hangin’ out right now though. Today is Rachel’s B-day so she is chillin’ out on the couch watching 90210. We are probably going to go to the dog park today and let the dogs get some exercise. Moose seems to have unlimited amounts of energy lately. Thats about it for now. More to come later on my next bloggy post.

Layover

Here I am in Minneapolis on a 4 hour layover. Heading back to Iowa. I could actually drive from here and make it back sooner. Its not too bad though. It actually goes pretty quick. Kinda looking forward to getting home. Its the whole “work” thing that gives it that “kinda” tag. Really looking forward to seeing the fam and the pets again. Had a great trip in NM. Weird seeing it after all this time. But anyways, it will feel good to be home. Got a short work week this week. And a short work week next week due to Labor day. Life is good.

Green Chile

Many do not know what this is. But if you are from New Mexico, you know exactly what it is. Yup. Green Chile. So so good. It really is a shame I cannot get this anywhere in Iowa. I am currently trying to figure out how to smuggle this back to Iowa with me.

Ask and you shall receive

Woa. What an awesome day. In the 70′s and low humidity. Feels great. Probably just a fluke though. We are, in fact, still in August. For now though, I will enjoy it while it lasts.

The Heat Is On!

No. I won’t do it. I won’t complain about this tropical heat and humidity. I will not complain that I sweat bullets after 5 minutes of being outside. I won’t complain that I am sweating right out of the shower. It was me, yes me, that was praying for this type of weather in the freezing cold winter. So I just need to deal with it. Spring and Fall are my friends. Summer is a bully. But one I can deal with. Winter is just plain evil. So here I am saying, hey summer, you may be unpleasant, but I can deal with you.

Washington Island

Here is a place I have never been to and didn’t know existed. It is an island just north of the door peninsula of Wisconsin. The ferry ride to it was cool. Other than that, it was uneventful. Stay tuned through out the month for more pics from our Wisconsin vacation.

Vacay

Well. Here we are. Finally back from our trip to Wisconsin. We went to Sturgeon bay in Door county. Very cool area. We stayed at a campground called Harbour Village Resort that was fun. More aimed at kids but still good for adults too. Weather was nice. Had a nice thunderstorm the last night we were there. Took a boat tour of green bay and lake Michigan. Also took a ferry to Washington island which was ok. The island was nothing special. The ferry ride was the best part. They are big on cherries there. Not sure if ot has something to do with George Washington. All in all, had a good time. Now back to the grind.

First time trip to one of the great lakes. Lake Michigan. Very cool. Had a great time. Its pretty much like visiting the ocean. The lake is so big, you can’t see the other side.

Breaking out the bike

Here she is. My bike that I have neglected for far too long. Now back in action. I have been enjoying biking to work this past week. Don't know why it took me so long to start doing it. Now I look forward to it every day. I couldn't ride to work today because of the rain so that was a little lame. But the rest of the week looks good.

One more for June

Wow. Is june almost over? Seems hard to believe that its almost the fourth of July. Time is definitely flying by lately. Next thing I know, it will be winter again and I will be freezing my arse off again praying for the summer. Gotta live it up while I can I guess while it still is the summer. This is the time I had been dreaming about last January.

I rode my bike to work yesterday for the first time. I don't know what took me so long to do it. It only takes ten minutes and I get at least a little exercise out of it. I should do that more often.

Ghetto Camping

We got a new tent a few weeks ago. Its huge and sleeps a small army. We camped out in the back yard with it. It was fun. Had a fire in the fire pit with smores and all. I haven't been actual camping in a while. We are gonna try to do that before the summer ends. Until then though. Ghetto camping FTW.

Another One Destined For 80

No matter how many times a run through the same quests in the same area. I never really get sick of it. Here I am working Hartigann up to level 80. This is will be my 4th 80 in World of Warcraft. Only at level 69 right now but the levels are going quick. I should hit 80 pretty soon. Maybe by the end of the summer. As of right now, he is leveling in Howling Fjord. Did a bit in Borean but I like the Fjord better.

Talkin' about the weather.

Ok. I am tired of talking about the weather in my blog. But sometimes it has to be done. Sorry to bore you. I just noticed that I do it a lot. Nothing really extreme going on right now. Got a little rain today. Its been warm. Blah blah blah. Off to another subject. Ok thanks bai.

Got a bit of World Of Warcraft time in lately. Its been fun. Currently working on my undead rogue, Hartigann. He's at level 67 and almost ready for northrend. Been playing with my bro in law. He's back to playing WoW after a year hiatus. Its cool to have friends to play the game with.

Well, that's about all I can muster up on this post. Or maybe its all I care to share at this time. There is more, but that's for another blog.

Summer inching closer.

Just seems like yesterday that I was complaining about the freezing cold weather. And now look. We are in the 80's now and I am loving every minute of it. Wow, what a drastic change from winter to summer. Its almost a 100 degree temperature difference. That's plain crazy.

Stormwind

Man I missed this place. Still one of my favorite places in WoW. Finally getting back into world of warcraft after a 3 month break. 3 months too long. I missed talking and hangin with my friends. Maybe that is what I like about mmo games. Even though I am far away from my friends and family, I can feel close to them when playing. I don't know. Sounds kind of cornball and all. But I'm glad to be back. That is all.

By the way. That whole Cell spin thing is a ripoff. What a waste. I hated it and uninstalled it pretty quickly. So kindly disregard the last couple of posts about it.

On another note. Our pups Moose got back from the vet today after having his balls removed. Poor buddy. He seems pretty chipper though. Don't think he knows what happened. He still tries to hump Molly, but that may just be some left over hormones that will eventually go away.

Moose is getting older and bigger. Here he is at about 6 months. Potty training is getting better but not yet mastered. Still quite a handful. He is getting fixed on tuesday finally. Maybe that will calm him down a bit. He has been quite hyper. Poor little buddy will be losing his nuts soon.

Sink Oh Day My Oh

Its may and I thought I better get a blog in. Today is the mexican holiday cinco de mayo. I don't really celebrate it. I guess its a good excuse to drink and party down. But I usually have to work and can't get around to it. Looks like the same will happen this year. Just gonna work and then go home and watch tv.

The weather has been quite windy the last few days. Not a big fan of wind. Kinda ranks up there with snow. But I guess it happens and I just got to live with it. At least it has been warm. That's good enough for me.

Storm 2

Here it is. My new storm 2. Got it as a replacement for my storm 1. Its way better and has twice the memory. I am totally pleased with it so far. It should last me a while. I am a total crackberry addict.

Bricked Storm

I was trying to reload my firmware on my storm last night and guess what happened? Reboot loop. Cannot get out of it. Just keeps rebooting. I tried everything. I am getting a replacement sent to me on Monday. For now though, I am using my old Curve 8330. I forgot how much I miss the physical keyboard. Still a pretty cool phone. I am actually writing this blog with it right now. When my upgrade comes up, I am going to try to get the new Bold that is being launched soon. We will see.

Another blog

Well I'm testing out this Dragon for e-mail again seems to be working okay so far. A few mistakes here and there but otherwise pretty good app. I feel kind of silly talking to my phone doing this but I guess that's how the program works. I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of it. But for now it's a pretty fun little toy to play with I guess.

Other than that in other news, weather is been really nice. I'm really enjoying the summer. I'm really glad that the weather will be favorable until probably around November. That's when all hell breaks loose in the winter arrives. I am not looking forward to that day at all. Well that's about it for now I guess. Well this is a first. I'm actually speaking this blog instead of typing it. Using this new Dragon for e-mail app I got. Pretty cool just messing with it right now. Seems to be working pretty good. No mistakes yet. So far so good. I'll see how it goes.

Pointless Blabber

Here is another one of those pointless posts I like to do so much. I'm just bored and decided to post a new blog since it has been a while since I have done so. Not much really to talk about. Things are not the best right now. But I am still hanging on to my optimism no matter how bad it gets. No one can take that away from me. Ever. Just got to take it day by day. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Weather has been favorable. It has been really nice out in these spring months. Wish it could stay like this year round. But you know, that wont happen. So, gotta enjoy it while you can I guess.

Moose update

Our new pups Moose is getting bigger. Potty training is slow and painful. He's doing better but not quite there yet. I am getting less sleep having to take him out frequently and monitoring him constantly. Its a hard job. Can't wait until we can trust him enough to let him do his own thing and let us get some sleep. Here are his current knicknames. Well, I have decided to stop blogging and delete my blog completely. I am tired of having to come up with stories and stuff to blog about. It’s just not fun anymore. I know that a lot of my followers are not happy about this. But all I can say is, get over it. Go somewhere else and read pointless blabber about nothing. I have made my decision. I am done and there is nothing anyone can say that will change my mind. Who blogs anymore anyway? I mean come on. Its so 2000’s. We are in the 10’s now and twitter is the next big thing.

Spring almost here

The weather has warmed up a bit. We are in the 40's now. The snow is slowly melting. But I have a feeling that when the snow is almost gone, it will snow again. So I'm not getting my hopes up yet. But its looking good. There cant be much more winter left this season. Anyway, that's about all i can think of to post today. It has been a while since I updated the blog and I wish that there was more going on right now. But you know how winter goes. I feel like a prisoner stuck in the house all day. I want to get out and do stuff. Not too much longer to go.

Moose

Here he is. Our new pup Moose. He's a chocolate lab. About 12 weeks old. Pretty much a handful right now. You know, the whole potty training thing. But its to be expected. Poor buddy. He's young and confused.

Still Standing

I cant believe I have survived this winter so far. I think that it is getting pretty close to being over. I just cant wait any longer. The snow is still here. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Spring is right around the corner and I couldn't be happier.

Go Away Winter!

Here I am. Still surviving this cold winter. Long, Cold Winter. Like the Cinderella album. Yea, that one you '80s child you. The snow has been on the ground for over 2 months. I am used to it melting off fairly quickly. Nope, not this time. It comes and stays for a very long time. It is an extremely rare occasion that the temps get above freezing. I am counting the days until spring. What are we at now? 47 days till spring? It cant get here fast enough. I promise I wont complain about the heat in the dead of summer. Bring it on.

Marquez

Here is my warrior in WoW. Marquez. He is my oldest character created in 2005. I just recently started to gear him up and it is moving along smoothly. Still got a ways to go though. Playing a protection warrior is one of the hardest classes in WoW. I'm hangin' in there though. I really like playing him. Just got to keep running the 5 man heroics and he will be looking pretty dang good.

WoW. Checking In.

Well, I has been a while since I have updated the old blog so here goes. Finally got to level 80 with the rogue last friday. Pretty stoked about it. I started my rogue in the beginning of June '09. So it has taken about 8 months to go 1-80. Thats not bad but considering some people do the same thing in like 1 month, its pretty slow I guess. I have switched over to my warrior now and want to work on getting some sick gear for him. I got bored and decided to get the world explorer title which I achieved last night. Pretty cool. Gotta love this pic. I saw it the other day and just had to laugh. My blog however is more of a personal journal rather than a blog per se. If people happen to stumble upon it while browsing the net, that's cool. Its not as if I am promoting it, trying to get people to follow it. I like the fact that I can easily look back to see what I was up to last month, year, whatever. That's all. So if you found this blog by accident, move along if you wish. Happy New Year

Its the start of another year. Just thought I would post a quick thought on it. Here we go with the tens. Hope it is a good decade. So far it is pretty dang cold. -19 degrees this morning. Would be nice to get out of the negatives today. May end up in the house all day.
