T minus 3 days

Here we go. The year is coming to a close and I am scrambling to get another blog post in. Not sure why. But I am. So here it is. The weather outside is cold. Its to be expected I guess this time of year. The good news is that on my birthday, its supposed to be about 40 degrees. Whats up with that? We will see how it really is when the day comes. It may be just miserable. Been playing some WoW and got my warrior, Marquez, to level 82 now. Just a couple more levels till 85. Still having fun. Especially with my new PC. Thats about it for now. See ya on the next post.

Here's the good ole buddy. Starting to chill out a little. Thank god! I am finally able to get some sleep. Poor little guy. Its tough being a pups. Current knicknames: butters, brown dude, brown bat, butter turd, moose munch.

2010 Almost History

Just about a week of this year remains. So here is another quick blog about it. Nothing too exciting happened this year. Hope 2012 is better. Thats about all I have to say about that. I should be able to post another blog this year so I will hold off on the happy new year stuff. But for now, Merry Christmas.

Winter Veil

Here we are again. Is it really Christmas time again? Seems to have arrived awful quick. Got the new expansion and created a worgan. Its pretty fun. Up to level 21 now.

New PC

Finally. I got my new PC. It has been a a long time coming. I cant even remember how long I have had my old one. Its been very long. Now I am finally up to date. I got it from Cyberpower PC and its awesome. I did a lot of research before finally deciding to go with Cyberpower. They looked like the best deal to me. And I got a killer deal. Check out my config.

All for $845.00 including shipping. Not too shabby. If I configure the same PC now, it comes up to be about $200.00 more than what I spent. Good thing I got it on Black Friday. I am pretty happy with the purchase.

Chicago

I can now add Chicago to the list of places I have been to. We just got back yesterday. It was fun. But would have been a lot better if it wasn't cold and snowy out. I guess we picked the wrong time to go. Rain on Saturday and then Snow on Sunday. We headed out of town on Sunday afternoon and the wind was so bad, we couldn't barely see with all the blowing snow. We actually had to stop on the interstate for a while. It wasn't fun. But I am glad we are back now. We will go back one day. Just not in the Winter.

Catching up

The year is coming to a close and I am trying to get a few more blogs in before 2010 is over with. Been kinda slackin' this year.

In other news, I have a new PC on its way to me now. Finally, an upgrade. My old Dell PC is on its last leg. I have had it forever. I cant wait to get my new PC. Its leaps and bounds better than what I have right now. And it should run WoW like a dream.

Having fun with scammers

Recently, I placed an ad on Craigslist selling my drum set. Little did I know the mass amount of scammers from Nigeria that are out there trying to steal our hard earned money. I got fed up with the number of scammer emails I was receiving and decided to have a little fun and waste the scammers time in the process. Here is the email string.

Scammer: Still available??

Me: Yes it is

Scammer: Hello, Thanks for getting back to my inquiry..Just to let you know am fully satisfy with the price and condition of the item,am ready for its purchase..I will be paying you via Check. I want you to understand that i'll be responsible for the pick-up to avoid delay and to enable my mover pick up person to schedule an appropriate time for the pick-up to be done at your location after it has been clear your bank,also i have other goods to be moved together with yours..I would have love to come for the viewing but, due to work schedule that might not be possible for me to come.If you have more pics you might attach it to have a better assessment..Pls,respond back with the following details(Full Name and Address including your Cell and Land phone number).So as to mail the payment out to your location..Looking
forward to your email soon.

Me: Oh sorry, my bad. I have been pretty busy on the farm and all. Uncle jesse has been bugging me to work in the field and I haven't had time to do much. I would say to send the check to my work address but I am not there that often. My old address won't work because I don't live there any more. So I guess my new address would be the best. Unless you think you should send it to my work address. Thanks again and I look forward to receiving the check soon.

Scammer: Hi Mark, How are you doing today ..I will like to informed you that I contact my account Personnel to confirm if your payment has been mailed out and i was made to understand that instead of the actual amount for the item,the bank made out check for $2,650 The payment was already posted before I was informed about this but is a little problem which we can handle with care.I wouldn't want this to delay the sale, As I have rectify this with my Bank and all you do once you have the payment is to take it to your Bank and have it deposit, you will then deduct the money for your goods plus a $50 (the cost of running around).

The excess fund on the payment will then be wired to my coordinator in charge the pick up via western union that same day it clears so that he can come for the pick up, as i already plan on using the excess on the payment to offset the cost of the previous shipments he has undertaken on my behalf. I'll really appreciate this from you because been honest is the best in life so do let me know if I can trust you
to have the excess fund sent to my mover so we can proceed further...I'll be expecting your quick response concerning this issue ASAP.

Ok, Im back. As I was saying, my dog ate the check you sent and.......Hang on, I need to clean my keyboard.......Ok, back again. So anyway, would you be able to send another check? Sorry about this. Cataclysm

Here it comes. Another World of Warcraft expansion is on the horizon. Launching in just a couple of days. December 7th will be the day. I am going to wait myself though. I dont see the servers being playable for least a couple days after. Thats how the expansions usually go. Everyone gets so excited, that they forget what a madhouse it is when it launches. Then they freak out and get all pissed that they cant log in. Uh hello? Did you learn nothing from the past expansions? Some people will never learn. I will play the new expansion. Just not on launch day when everyone and their mother is trying to log in. I can wait.

Tree Up. Once again.

Here she is. The old tree. Still works. I think this may be the 4th or 5th year we have had it. Some of the lights are not working. But it still looks decent. Just thought I would post a quick blog about it since I did so the last 2 years. So enjoy. I will be taking her down in January.

Here we go again

Here it is. Got our first snow of the season yesterday. Only got a couple of inches, but its still something. Kind of depressing knowing that the snow will stick around for at least another 3 months. Let the countdown begin. 90 days and counting till the weather starts warming up again and the snow starts to melt away. I cant wait. It seems like the summer went too fast. Oh well, no use complaining about it. The sad fact is that winter is here and its gonna be a long cold one.
