It happened

Yup. I hit 40. And I'm still here. No biggie. Hard to believe my 30's are gone. Life goes on. Got another 10 years till I feel really old.

Happy 2012

The new year is upon us. 2012. Yup, thats right. For those of you who don't know what year it is. We are still snowless here which is good. Been kinda cold but not too bad. Not much else to report. Been pretty boring lately. Sorry. Wish my first post of the year would have been a bit more exciting.

Oh no!

This is the last official day of my 30's. Kinda of weird. Oh well. Life goes on I guess. It's not really bothering me too much. Just another day I guess. 🍺

2011 Coming to a close

I cant believe that 2011 is almost done. I haven't really had to many blog posts this year. Oh well. Not like anyone really reads these anyway. We are already over halfway done with December and still no snow. Well, we had a little but its gone now. Nothing real major though. That's always good. But I am expecting to get dumped on any day now though.

SWTOR

It's on like dk. I received my early access pass today. Logged in and had a blast. Servers were packed and there was a lot of que times happening. But that's expected on a release like this. I wanted to log in to a server my friend at work is on. But the que was so long, I had to choose another just so I could start playing. I love it. I hope more of my friends start playing. My wow account will expire and I don't see myself resubing any time soon. Swtor ftw.

A bit of travel

Doh! Only 2 posts for November? I have been neglecting the blog this year. I have some serious catching up to do. Anyway, I went to new Mexico last week to visit the family for thanksgiving. It was ok. Good to see everyone again. Had a bit of green chile. Not as much as I would have liked though. Had a good time though. Got to see my new niece and nephew. Very cute. We had to take 3 different flights to get out there. Cedar rapids to Chicago. Chicago to Phoenix. Phoenix to Albuquerque. And the same route back. I think next time we will hopefully take a more direct route. Too many planes.

In other news. Star wars the old republic is coming soon. In about 2 weeks. I can't wait. It's gonna be fun. I am going to create a sith warrior to start out with. A few friends at work are playing too. It may be my wow replacement for a while.

Cold

The weather has taken a turn for the worse. It been pretty cold lately. Around 30 degrees. Not liking it one bit. But winter is almost here, so it is to be expected. We had a little snow a couple of weeks ago, but it has melted off.

I am going to be heading to New mexico for the holiday weekend. looking forward to it. Gotta get my fix of green chile.

Back to playing WoW a bit. Not liking the changes they have made recently. Not sure how much longer I am going to play. Star Wars the old republic is coming out soon. I got a beta invite that should occur this weekend, so I am looking forward to that too.

Another WoW break

My Wow subscription has expired again. I am playing rift and league of legends. Really liking rift. Got one character to 20 and another to 13. Having fun. Rick is having pc issues so it has been a challenge for him to play. We are still trying to figure out what is going on with it. Hopefully we will get it fixed.

In other news, it's Sunday which means tomorrow is the dreaded m word. Ugh. Not looking forward to it at all.

Incredibooth

Just downloaded an app called incredibooth. It's pretty cool. I am in to the vintage type of things. Not sure how much I will use it. But it was free so that's always good.

LOL

Played a bit of League Of Legends tonight. It's different than wow. A lot different. I am still learning it and I am starting to like it. Had a blast tonight playing. Got up to level 3. I guess the level cap is 30. I have a ways to go.

New games

I'm trying out some new games. World of Warcraft is cool and all, but I have been getting a little burnt. Dungeons and dragons online and lord of the rings online a great alternatives that I really like. I recently downloaded age of Conan and it as well is pretty good. Rift has a free trial weekend going on now so I am downloading it. Also I decided to give league of legends a try. Heard some pretty good things about it. So my pc has been doing some overtime in the download area lately. I should be able to game it up tomorrow night.

Still here

Yea yea. I'm still here. Just haven't posted a blog in a while. October is almost halfway over so I thought I would write something. Had another post op follow up with the endocrinologist today. Everything is cool in the gang. Next appointment in February. Been playing a bit of wow. Not much though. My sister in law just had a baby boy on the 7th. Seth is his name. Very cute. So that means that Charles won't be on the game in a while.

Hard to do.

I don't know why. But it seems pretty hard for me to post anything that doesn't have to do with the weather. I don't like it. So this post will not mention the word...... Uh. Dang. Too late. Oh well. Let's move on. My Warcraft account expired a few days ago and I have not renewed it yet. I already kind of miss it. But I am going to be strong and hold out for a bit. I have been playing a little dungeons and dragons online and lord of the rings online. Both great games. And free. That's always good. I have also been playing a little pocket legends on my iPhone. Pretty fun little game. I think I am up to level 14. I shall return to wow in the near future though. Not sure when. I usually take these little breaks a couple of times a year. I think it's good so I don't get burned out.

Meanwhile. Guess who finally gave us a release date? That's right. Star wars the old republic. Very nice. I want to play it pretty bad. But, one thing to remember. It will cost about 50 bucks to buy the game first. So I will have to see where I am at financially at that time. Maybe I will ask for it for Christmas or my birthday since they both fall in December. I will be playing a sith warrior eventually. The force will be strong with me.

Getting cooler

The weather has been getting a bit cooler lately. You know what that means? Yea. Temperatures are lower. That's right. Been pretty nice actually. Not too hot. Not too cold. Well, thanks for reading another lame ass post about the weather. The next paragraph won't be about the weather.

The hawkeyes won this weekend. I didn't watch the game. But I heard they made a 4th quarter run and beat Pittsburg in the final minutes. That's always good. But I still think they have a rough season ahead of them. I have been watching only a few minutes of the NFL lately. Gotta step up my game.

Some day you will be mine. Not sure if it's worth 90 bucks. But it sure is cool. I need a better mouse. Mine is very crappy. Hopefully one day I can get a new one.

Still mowing

Just mowed the lawn today. The weather is starting to cool down a bit. I am not sure how many mows are left in the season. I remember last year, I was mowing well into October. So it looks like I got a few more.

September already?

Wow. Where has the summer gone? It's almost over. Hard to believe.
The weather is still pretty hot though. Right now, there is a pretty
nasty thunderstorm going on. It's kinda cool. But Molly is not liking
it one bit. Poor thing. It's pretty late right now so I think I am

WoW Update

Been playing a little WoW lately. Got my Undead warrior to level 85 now and am working on randoms. Pretty fun stuff. Just trying to gear him up so I can run heroics. This dang heroics are hard. I have yet to get through one. I guess its all about getting the right group.

I am still unclear of my WoW future once SWTOR comes out. I really want to play it. I am hoping it will come out soon. We will see what happens I guess.

Old pictures

Not sure why I am in to all this vintage looking stuff. But I am. Found another app that makes pictures look old. I like it. I also like old worn out clothing too. Weird, I know.

On another note, I had my post op follow up just a little while ago. Everything looking good. It's been 2 weeks since my surgery and I'm feeling pretty good.

Thyroidless

Surgery is done. Now on the road to recovery. I have been feeling a little better each day. It's been 5 days and I am so glad it's done. Still can't believe I had surgery. I was always dreading the day. But it wasn't too bad. Felt like I took a nap with no dream. Anyway, it's back to work on Monday. I should be ok to work I think.
